Award Information

Do you know an outstanding educator, administrator, or a program/initiative making a remarkable difference in supporting dyslexic students in a Canadian school? Nominate them for the Dyslexia Canada Educational Excellence Awards.

The Dyslexia Canada Educational Excellence Awards celebrate exceptional dedication within school communities in supporting students with dyslexia. This award recognizes the outstanding contributions of various individuals, including educators, principals, administrators, librarians, psychologists, speech and language pathologists, and others. These individuals showcase remarkable commitment and innovation in ensuring equitable education for students with dyslexia. Additionally, this award extends to schools or school boards that have spearheaded remarkable programs or initiatives specifically designed to support and empower students with dyslexia.

We seek individuals and school boards/districts who have contributed to raising awareness of dyslexia within their communities, supported the adoption of scientifically-evidence-based reading instruction for all children, initiated efforts to encourage early screening for dyslexia and reading challenges, and worked diligently to ensure impactful and effective interventions for students' reading needs.

The online nomination form is your opportunity to highlight their dedication, innovation, collaboration, and impactful efforts. Whether it's an exceptional teacher, a visionary school leader, or a groundbreaking program, we invite you to submit nominations outlining their contributions.

The achievements will be celebrated nationally.

Nominations will be open from January 19th - February 16th, 2024.
