The winners of our 2025 Educational Excellence Award, the K-5 Literacy Team from Anglophone West School District in New Brunswick, were recently featured in the Telegraph-Journal article Lighting the way and raising reading awareness. The story highlights their incredible efforts to strengthen reading instruction and improve literacy outcomes for students across their district.
Their work to embed evidence-based reading instruction, support early screening and effective intervention, and build capacity among fellow educators is truly inspiring. We appreciate and admire all the work they are doing to improve literacy outcomes for students across their district.
We also extend a warm thank you and congratulations to the team on being chosen to present at researchED Halifax. Their commitment to sharing their expertise and supporting other educators in learning about evidence-based practices is making a lasting difference for students and teachers alike.
