SUMMARY:Manitoba Caregiver Monthly Support Group
DESCRIPTION:Dyslexia Canada is pleased to offer this support group to families in Manitoba\, moderated by Tianna Voort and Carrie Wood. \nAll are welcome\, but monthly registration is required. Activities and supervision will be provided for children attending. \nRegister for the October meeting here \n2026 session dates: September 19th\, October 17th\, November 21st \n2027 session dates: February 2oth \, April 10th\, May 15th \nLocation: Learning Disabilities Association of Manitoba\, 609 Erin Street\, Winnipeg\, MB\, R3G 2W1 \nMeeting schedule: \n\n12:30–1:00 PM | New to the Support Group?\nThis first 30-minute session is for those who are new to the support group. If you are not new to the group\, you are welcome to join us. This portion is specifically for caregivers who are new to the group and want to learn the basics about dyslexia and what it can mean for their child. \n\nWe’re hoping some of our returning families will sign up to help lead the first 30 minutes of one of these sessions. We’ll send out more information about signing up shortly.\n\n\n1:00–1:15 PM | Break\n1:15–2:45 PM | Advocacy & Deeper Discussion\nWe’ll use this time to dive deeper into personal advocacy\, systemic advocacy\, current issues\, and supporting one another as we navigate the education system.\n\nAll sessions are in person and will not be recorded.
