We are deeply grateful to the TELUS Friendly Future Foundation for their generous support of Dyslexia Canada and our work to strengthen literacy outcomes for children and youth across Canada.
The TELUS Friendly Future Foundation invests in programs that help young people thrive, with a strong focus on education, health, and community well-being. Their mission is to support initiatives that reduce barriers, promote equity, and create meaningful opportunities for children and youth, especially those facing systemic challenges. This commitment closely aligns with our mission to ensure that every child has the opportunity to learn to read.
With the support of TELUS, we are expanding our work with families of children with dyslexia and other reading difficulties in Saskatchewan and Manitoba. In 2026, we will host a series of in-person, community-based events that bring parents, caregivers, and children together to learn, connect, and build confidence. These gatherings will focus on practical information, shared learning, and peer support, helping families better understand reading development, dyslexia, and the tools and strategies that can make a meaningful difference for children.
This funding allows us to respond directly to requests from families and communities who are seeking accessible, evidence-informed support closer to home. Our goal is to create welcoming spaces where families feel enlightened, supported, and empowered to advocate for their children and help them thrive.
We are truly grateful to the TELUS Friendly Future Foundation for believing in this work and for investing in a future where more children can access the support they need early, reducing long-term barriers and improving outcomes.
If you would like to be notified when registrations open for these 2026 events, please join our mailing list. Updates will be shared via email as plans move forward.
Together, with partners like TELUS, we are building a more equitable future where every child has the opportunity to become a confident reader.
