Help us reach our goals at the 2026 TCS Toronto Waterfront 5K
Hello, my name is Johnny Houlding, and I’m so excited to be running in support of Dyslexia Canada at the 2026 TCS Toronto Waterfront Marathon. This cause is especially meaningful to me because my grandfather, Keith Gray, Founder & Director Emeritus of Dyslexia Canada, is dyslexic himself. Despite the challenges that came with dyslexia at the time, he went on to accomplish incredible things in the world of banking. But when you talk to him about what matters most, it’s not his professional success. What he’s most proud of, and what he constantly reminds all his grandchildren, is the importance of volunteering and giving back. While my grandfather’s journey is one of incredible triumph, there are so many others whose stories haven’t had the same ending because they grew up in a time when dyslexia was misunderstood. Dyslexia Canada is working to change that reality by ensuring every child is screened early and given the resources to succeed. Please consider supporting my run with a donation or joining the race yourself as a part of the Dyslexia Canada team to help us reach our goal.
This October, Dyslexia Canada is proudly celebrating its 10th Anniversary. In addition to an exclusive race t-shirt, all Dyslexia Canada race participants and volunteers will be invited to join the Board members, current and past volunteers, and employees for a celebration at a location near the finish line.
The race is on! Race bibs for the 2026 TCS Waterfront Marathon weekend are selling fast. Don’t miss your opportunity to join the Dyslexia Canada 5K team and run with us for dyslexia awareness. Dyslexia Canada receives a $5 donation for every runner who joins our team, so your registration really does help kids with dyslexia receive the support that they need. You can make a greater impact by fundraising for the event. If you’d like to register with our team this year, click the button below to get started.
