CPA BC Financial Literacy hosts this workshop that challenges common myths about dyslexia and replaces them with clear, evidence-informed facts. Participants will learn how dyslexia affects reading and writing, why early intervention matters, what effective instruction should include, and how accommodations can support access without lowering expectations. Designed for parents, caregivers, and educators, the session also provides practical questions and advocacy strategies participants can use in school meetings. We will also touch on supporting adults with dyslexia in the workplace.
Presenter: Alexia Serratore, Community Outreach Coordinator | Dyslexia Canada
