Volunteer

Our dedicated volunteers are at the heart of Dyslexia Canada’s mission. Whether you can spare a few hours each week or want to take on a larger role, your time, skills, and experience can make a real difference for families and students across the country.

There are many ways you can contribute your talents and expertise:

  • Administrative support: Assist with behind-the-scenes tasks such as data entry, communications, and data/information gathering.
  • Advocacy & awareness: Champion equitable education and raise awareness about dyslexia in your community, either on your own or as part of our annual Mark It Read campaign.
  • Event planning & coordination: Assist with organizing community events, workshops, and campaigns.
  • Family support: Help families navigate the education system and access the resources they need.
  • Fundraising: Support our mission by helping to raise funds for essential programs and initiatives, or through grant and prospect research.
  • Leadership roles: Contribute your expertise by joining our Board of Directors or one of our committees.
  • Translation: Translate/adapt English materials into French or other languages to make our resources accessible to more Canadians.
  • Professional pro-bono support: Offer specialized skills, such as marketing, legal, or strategic consulting.

If you’re passionate about supporting people with dyslexia and want to make a meaningful impact, we’d love to hear from you. Please complete our application form below, and we’ll be in touch!
